You have no idea what I've been through for not being a 'good' cook.
Have to admit that it has haunted me.
Turns out, all I needed was my own kitchen and the freedom to cook (or not to cook)!
I realised that I'm not the traditional "follow-the-recipe" or "ask-your-mother" type. I cook following my instinct or the memory of a taste. I like to experiment and try out new things. I like the freedom to cook what I want, when I want, or not to cook at all if I don't feel like it. To make mistakes and get it wrong before you get it right.
It's amazing the kick you get when you get it right. I love that feeling.
And people who actually appreciate and encourage. People who tell you that they were reminded of home when they ate your cooking.
In B'lore I seemed to have stumbled upon the right mix. I might finally have found the place where I would like to put my feet down. Who knows? Might just turn out to be the place for me!
Life is full of possibilities.
