The Taco affair!

I love pizzas....Domino's is my favourite haunt....whenever we give treats to each other or simply when tired of everyday home food, we just give a ring to Domino's, who ,by the way, have the best home delivery system that I have ever seen :)

Their recent addition, named Taco Indiana, is a big hit with all my cousins. It is said to be originally a Mexican dish.

It resembles a wheat / maida wrap with chicken kebab / sausage covered in cheese neatly baked with  spicy masala dropped over it.

One fine day, I had an idea! Why not make it at home?

It looked simple enough. So I commenced on the operation with my cousin.

First, we made parathas.

The instruction on the frozen chicken sausage said to either bake it in an oven or fry it in oil. We thought baking was the less-calorie option and put all of the sausages in the oven. But a few minutes into the baking we found to our dismay that instead of getting cooked, the fat in the sausages were oozing out in the heat of the oven. So, we took it out and decided to fry it. By then, it had become sticky with dripping fat. On frying, it turned brittle and dry :(

But we didn't give up. We thought of making up for it with extra cheese. We put the sausages in the paratha with chunks of cheese, wrapped it and put for baking. Unfortunately, in the hurry for damage control, we forgot to add masala and put the wrong cheese. We had put the ordinary cheese available in the market which did not melt, but remained as blocks of salty cheese among the sausages.

And thus, we ended up with stiff and dry taco's with a bland salty taste :(

Moral of the story- There is no alternative to yummy taco's from Domino's :)
